Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are not associated with Good Samaritan Village; instead, we are the Good Samaritan Home situated off State Street. Our goal is to enhance housing accessibility and services for low-income adults by offering income-based housing, meals, and a sense of community through our facility.

  • The Treasure Valley, Boise included, has experienced a growing concern of homelessness for over a decade, but significantly more so in recent years partially due to rising costs of living and the global pandemic. According to the latest statistics available from 2022, there were around 4,000 people experiencing homelessness in our area.

  • Homelessness here in the Treasure Valley is affected by a relentless shortage of affordable housing. Costs of houses have more than doubled in price in the last few years, while cost of living has increased, incomes have only increased by thirty percent. Not enough to keep up.

  • The Solution is pretty simple; we must ensure that there is enough accessible housing available to those in each income bracket and also provide supportive services for all those who need them.

  • We hope to create a housing model that in time can be replicated across the United States. We intend to be a housing solution and end homelessness. Period.
